My final comment relates to the OG fxx runner. They could be changed so that a nitro can be stored in an inventory for that level so you can use them later for evading rods, making them way less situational. ![]() They are in dedicated spots, and you can only use each nitro once upon pickup. In the demo, nitro is way too situational. Sometimes you will have 1 or a few undead rods chasing you with not many ways to shake them, sometimes you will be ignoring/attacking them once you have the shield powerup, and sometimes there are no rods in sight and it's just pure fxx collector, for lack of better wording. The main problem is with how inconsistent the gameplay is paced in the demo. While this is unique from the standard racing game formula, it is not quite executed well. Instead of getting from point A to B in order to beat the one level of the game, you now collect all the infected crystals of a level to beat it and go onto the next. The first thing to note is how the gameplay structure has changed. I don't know if all my comments will be satisfactory since I can only base them off the 2 level demo, but I will say them anyway. This is the first release, so, expect fixes and more levels next weeks The game is still in development, it was set on hold for a long time cause other works we had to do, because it reached sufficient usability we decided of releasing a playable demo so as to collect feelings and impressions from the players, so, feel free to write in comments your thoughts about every aspect of it. Your car, like every car, consume fuel, so, pay attention to not leave it without gas by collecting tanks you will find around. From time to time, you will find a shied bonus that will protect your car from the enemy's attacks and cause major damages to them, so, use those bonuses carefully. Your mission is to remove every infecting crystals all around the level, once upon you cleared the sector you can access the next.īeware the mutant vehicles, they are determined to kill you in any way. If you’re a fan of the older Final Fantasy games, don’t go into this one expecting too much. What if a mysterious asteroid falls to earth and his debris emit strange radiation that mutate machinery and cars into evil monsters? Well, that's the premise of this game. I don’t know if you should play this version or the PS Vita remake/port, but if you do have a PS Vita, that one’s supposedly in HD. If you like how Kingdom Hearts looks like and want to know who those kids from the beach are (the ones you eventually forget all about), then here you go. You also learn about your father while you travel, because that isn’t an overused trope.Ĭonsidering that I’m not a fan of the game, I probably wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. And on the way there, you have to try to keep yourself from strangling some obnoxious jerk called Seymour. And you meet some people and go on an adventure with your girlfriend who wants to be the very best that there ever was. You’re a star “Blitzball” player, which means underwater soccer, and one day, your world is flipped inside out and you’re thrown into another world or dimension… something. The music is good, but I can’t remember it. The sound for this game is pretty standard stuff. Sometimes, it feels like the entirety of Final Fantasy X’s world is just a giant spiral… There’s no overworld and so travel is largely limited to walking from one point to another on foot. Somehow, that removes some of the magic from the environments and they become just another beach, just another ice cavern, just another desert. ![]() ![]() The environments are now fully rendered instead of being still CG backgrounds like the PS1 Final Fantasy games. There’s also a sort of strange Pokemon-ish feel to the summons, where it’ll take over the party when one comes out and stay out until you call it back, it wins, or it dies. There are four elements on top of physical. You can see who will act next and how the action you choose on that turn will affect who comes next. The battle system goes back to being turn based, but more like the Tactics games. I couldn’t care enough about it to beat it, unfortunately, something that I might remedy in the future. This was the last Final Fantasy I played (although I own its sequel, XII, XIII, and XIII-2. So many people love this game, but I found it to be just alright. When I finally played it, it was… alright. I bought this game long before I had a PS2 (it took Dragon Quest VIII to finally get me to buy one). I’ve never done this before and I doubt I’ll ever get excited enough to do it again. There was a time when I used to have Final Fantasy X and couldn’t play it.
